Game Driving Sim for Gran Turismo 5™ game (PlayStation3™)
Gran Turismo is known as the "Real Driving Simulation Game". It is the most realistic video racing game ever made and it becoming ever so successful and highly praised series of racing simulation video games produced for all of Sony's platforms, including Sony PlayStation, PlayStation 2, PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Portable. All the GT game editions simulate the exact performance and behaviour of an enormous selection of vehicles. The selections of vehicles are licensed reproductions of real life automobiles.
With astonishing records of over 53 million copies sold since 1997, Gran Turismo has become the most successful video racing series for PlayStation.
Graphics quality, extended detail of simulation, the amount of licensed vehicles and the ability to tune their performance according to the principles of physics is what makes this game so highly respected and popular. Also the vehicles handling has been manipulated on real life driving vehicles and the cars' engine sounds are based on the actual vehicles themselves. The game has been a flagship for the PlayStation console's graphics capabilities, and is often used to demonstrate the system's potential and performance at show events.
Game's creator and Polyphony Digital's CEO Kazunori Yamauchi, is the passionate inspiration behind this great video game sensation. Kazunori has recently helped design the technology for Nissan's new GT-R which appears in the latest game in his franchise, Gran Turismo 5 Prologue. He was given one of those for his contribution. On a Gran Turismo 5 trailer video, Yamauchi remarked his favourite car design which is the Ford GT. He is such a fan of ford that he evens owns two of those in real life.
He first started off when he joined the Gazoo Racing team and participated in the SP8 class in race 8 of VLN with a Lexus IS-F held on Nürburgring in 2009. Thanks to him, his team had the fastest lap time and had their team finish as a class Champion.
Kazunori Yamauchi also was one of 4 drivers in the #96 Spoon Sports FD2 Civic Type-R during the 25 Hours Of Thunerhill which took place Dec. 5-6, 2009. The first time he drove in a US road course was then. He came 7th in his car class, and ended at 23rd place.
Gran Turismo has always been on the top of its type of video games, ever since the first GT came to production in 1997. This game changed driving simulations forever. No other video racing game made so far offers greater number of real life vehicles and track variations; neither do others get even close to the GT's game play and physics.
Gran Turismo's previous versions also made a big difference in video racing games and with the latest edition (Gran Turismo 5) that is still being delayed for a 3rd year now, this game is expecting to be ever so powerful in all characteristics and is raising its fans expectations and tension to the limit.
No matter the quality and comforting of a racing simulator, it's never bringing any thrill or joy without a good racing game. It's also the same way the other way around. However, this is not the problem. The only true way of getting the perfect race simulation is by combining those three elements and making they bond together: The video game, the driving seat simulator and the steering wheel.

It is the perfect foundation for any of the Logitech's force feedback driving systems. With Logitech's Gran Turismo Driving Force Edition wheels, the complete GT simulation doesn't get any more real. This wheel was specially designed for the latest GT title to the last detail in order to provide the ultimate steering control and perfect game play response. It is made so that the same effects happen to in game controls as in real life driving, and with the real time car settings available to be modified, it gets even more real.
The solid design of OpenWheeler will never let its users down. Made to withstand anyone's size and weight, it is just unbreakable. Openwheeler holds the driver's body in a perfect driving position and provides the best comfort. The wheel and pedals are exactly where you would expect them to be and you won't ever be scared of them slipping away or drifting away. It provides real race car precision in every detail and aspect. Drivers are as if they are in a real cockpit and forget they are in the living room.
OpenWheeler racing game seat together with Gran Turismo can only provide the experience of real need for speed satisfaction in everyone.
